INTERIOR DELIGHTS OF THE KABIN SET COME TO CORONATION STREET THE TOUR
If you’re looking to treat your mum this Mother’s Day then why not bring her along to Coronation Street The Tour to be one of the first guests to see our exciting new additions.
From Saturday March 14th, the interior set of the Kabin will return to the Quay Street studios and will form part of the guided tour giving visitors the chance to see inside the famous newsagents’ set which has been the centre of many dramatic, humorous and emotional scenes. It is also the focal point for many of the witty exchanges between the much loved Rita and Norris.
The Kabin set, which will prove a familiar site as it has been used for filming for over twenty years, is a much welcome addition to the Coronation Street experience and will join other iconic interior sets from the show including the Platts, The Duckworths, Underworld and the infamous Rovers Return.
Out on the cobbles some of the exterior sets will also be opened up enabling visitors to take a peek inside Websters’ Garage which has been dressed to replicate what you see on screen and go inside Prima Doner to pose for a picture sitting at the counter and immerse themselves in the ultimate Corrie experience.
The popularity of the Halloween and Christmas seasonal Street Tours will also see them become a permanent attraction from March with guided tours of the cobbles taking place each day. This tour divulges the secrets of filming on the Street and will open guests’ eyes to the different illusions – did you know those chimney pots aren’t real?
Guests to Coronation Street The Tour will be able to remember the visit for years to come as the official Tour Guide Book is now available to purchase in the gift shop. The guide includes fascinating facts and stories’ from 53 years of filming at the Quay Street Studios.
