FAQs

Opening Times

When is the Coronation Street Experience open?

The Coronation Street Experience is located on a live working set, as such filming schedules dictate opening hours.

The Full Experience, where guests get to walk on the famous cobbles and see the exhibition is open most weekends (subject to availability and filming plans).

The Midweek Exhibition, where guests get to experience props, costumes, and replicate sets from the show’s 63-year history. Open most weekdays, availability can be found here.

The Coronation Street Experience reserves the right to withdraw a date from sale, subject to demand or production schedules. We always advise guests to pre-book their visit with us via the website. We are unable to guarantee availability on the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Coronation Street Experience accessible for wheelchair users?

All parts of the Coronation Street Experience visitor centre are fully accessible for wheelchairs. However, due to the uneven Coronation Street cobbles, we recommend guests in wheelchairs stick to the pavements on set. Of course our tour guides will be more than happy to assist with the best routes. For any additional requirements, please refer to our accessibility guide.

Will we be able to meet the cast?

Yes! Guests have the exciting opportunity to meet members of the Coronation Street cast on our extra-special Star Tours. This is a unique experience that allows fans to interact with their favourite characters and take home unforgettable memories. Please note that availability may vary, so we recommend booking in advance to ensure you get the full Star Tours experience.

What is the difference between a standard tour and a Star Tour?

With a standard tour, this is no opportunity to meet a member of the cast at the end of your Coronation Street Experience tour. However with one of our very popular Star Tours, you’ll have the chance to meet and greet a mysterious member of the cast.

Why do you keep the name of the Star Tours cast member a mystery?

Due to the nature of the show, filming schedules and cast call times can change. As a result, if we were to promote a specific cast member, we couldn’t guarantee their appearance and we don’t want you to be disappointed.

Will there be anywhere to get a drink or snack?

Absolutely! Within our Visitor Centre, we have a café that offers a range of refreshments. Guests can choose from a selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes, and snacks. It’s the perfect spot to refuel and reminisce about the tour or to simply relax and enjoy the ambiance.

When will more dates become available to book my tour?

The Coronation Street Experience takes place on an active TV set, which means we have limited dates available for tours. Whenever new dates are set to be released, we always make announcements on our social media channels. To stay updated on the latest availability and other news, we recommend following us on our social media platforms. This way, you’ll be among the first to know when you can book your next tour!

Will I be able to see inside the studio sets?

The Coronation Street Experience primarily focuses on the external sets. However, for those keen to get a glimpse of the iconic interiors, our Exhibition features replica sets of The Dobbs, Rovers Return, and Roy’s Rolls. While you won’t be touring the actual studio sets, these replicas provide a close look at some of the show’s most memorable locations.

How can I get in touch with someone about making an amendment to my booking?

We have a Get In Touch section on our website which you can use to contact us about any queries you have and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can we go in the Rovers or visit the real interior sets?

The Rovers Return located on Coronation Street is a façade and does not contain any internal set dressing, as the real interior sets are located within a secure studio complex and not accessible to guests. However, within the Coronation Street Experience, you are able to enjoy the ‘Rovers Return’ and ‘Roy’s Rolls’ replica sets.

Can we take pictures?

Absolutely! We encourage visitors to capture their memorable moments. You are welcome to take as many pictures as you want during your visit. We just ask that you be respectful of any areas or moments where photography might not be permitted, which will be clearly indicated by our staff.
